Location: WESTERN WI | ...I start packing handheaters and extra propane canisters for my Coleman Heater which completes my "defrost area" in the boat.
...I fill one Thermos with hot chocolate and one with soup to keep my core warm with.
...a bag of kitty litter is always in the truck to get out of icey boat landings.
...all the leaves on the waters surface are cursed since they make it near impossible to run topwater baits.
...every cast has 50" pig, written all over it.

| When you have to keep your beer WARM in the garage for when you get off the water.
Up here, we pass just as many deer hunters ON the lakes and rivers as on the roads.
The first Frozen Snot Jacket Brooch. *Not to be confused with Frozen-Dip-Spit-Boat-Pinstriping or Frozen-Dip-Spit-Trailer-Fender-Decals.
I change baits once a wknd.
Quite shaving Wednesday morning. By Friday, you've got a warming chin strap nicley started. Strictly a class move, irregardless of marital and/or career status.
Get off the water on Saturday night and flip between NHL, ALCS/NLCS or the Weather Channel. Don't bother. You'll be out cold within thirty minutes anyway.
People in the plazas, stores, gas stations repeatedly tell you you're nuts. You're going fishing and they're working or worse, shopping. Who's nuts again? |
