My handles have about had it on my Garcia reels. I'm looking for suggestions on whether I should go with the original factory handles or some after market handles? Let me know what your favorites are. Where is the best place to buy these?

You may want to consider trying a replacement power handle before changing all your reels. Some guys like them and others don't. Definitely worth a try though. You'll only be putting out somewhere around ten bucks to experiment.

Got a link or product code to the Power Handle that would fit a Garcia?

TIA,
James

I've used the Gator Grips for years. When the original soft Garcia handles go on my newer reels, they'll be replaced with Gator's as well. Never had a problem with them and they are comfortable. Power Handle is just too big and clunky for my likes, that's personal opinion though.

Go with the gator grips. Don't get the thick nylon ones though, the nut won't fit. Get the metal ones. Slightly bigger diameter and you can feel the power difference over the old ones.

Personally I replaced all my handles with Abu power handles, they feel a little funny at first but after one day you will wonder why you ever used a double handle before! If you like the double handles the new (2006 and newer) style Abu handle is made much better than previous, they no longer pull off like they used to.

imo Abu should take note of some of the other manufacturers handles and build something that is actually nice and comfortable...take a look at the power handle on the Calcutta TE Conquest or some of Shimano's saltwater reels..talk about a nice power handle!
I custom fitted a double paddled calcutta te handle on a couple of my Big Game CL's but otherwise the Gator grip is decent with the round grips...
