Northern WI lakes are mid 50's for water temps, with this in mind what is your typical lure progresion? Do you still start with a bucktail and work your way from there or do you start with the biggest crankbait you have and stick with it for the day? With the colder water and the fish starting to get "sluggish" when do you give up on the bucktail bite all together?

I've had some good days with bucktails on fish post turnover, with water temps in the mid-upper 40s. And old habits die hard, so I'll usually start with some action baits like bucktails, cranks, spinnerbaits. No action? Then I work my way down to bigger and slower. B-dawgs, gliders, jerk baits. The usual suspects. Throw a couple walk-the-dog style topwaters in there for good measure too. Might even start the whole cycle over again until I get some action.

If none of that works... I start lobbing the kitchen sink.
