Ok guys,

Looking at the times for alot of the posts over the last week, it appears that alot of guys either work 2nd shift, or are musky surfing at work. Do I do it? Oh No! (I'm nodding my head yes) Not at work. That's taboo. How many others are not doing it at work? Wink wink!

All the time. IF the boss doesn't like it, he'll just have to get over it.

I am online at work all the time. The boss (me) knows that MuskieFIRST is a great place to meet new muskie anglers, and maybe even promote my favorite muskie products a little bit.[] [] []

I call it “multitasking”, when my CAD system is busy crunching numbers I go for a quick surf. I leave MF online all day.

Hey- I'm one of those "work surfer's"- But with a twist. I work from home office and my company actually approves of use of company equipment and personal internet access through the company world wide web interface. Only rule "No porn, or illegal activities". Most of my personal surfing is during breaks, lunch hour, or my own "free time". My company see's the web as the "mother of all" connectivity vehicles for inter-company communications. The best way to learn it and stay current is through constant use. The downside for me-> I find I put in way more work hours here, than I ever did back in the old corporate office and the pay's still the same.

I work for best buy the leading electronics retailer in the world and the company is just shoveling the money in,,,that means because things are so good they leave us alone,,when I was in grade school I used to put my fishing books insde my math, social studys book that way it looked like I was studying in class,,,I wish I could find a way to disguise my computer screen when my boss walks by I think hes starting to catch on.

I am a Sys Admin. I surf the net for new information. I don't do it for personal stuff. I am just digging for information, and doing research, just don't ask what I am researching. [;)]

I'm a 8-5er and rarely ever surf anything "fun" at work. I did get caught up in the "Race to the 2,000th post" a week or so ago, but more than made up for it a few days later with an intense and productive 16 hour day. In general, we/I frown on surfing at work. (We're a public health service organization funded almost entirely by tax dollars.) So, I hate to act like I've a pole up my butt[:0], but, no wink wink here.

I usually check the site a couple of times at while working. Of course I never check the site when someone comes in with a leg cut off or not breathing!

Surf at work - but of course .
Being lucky enough to be in a secured lab area I know when
anyone is trying to enter, and not a lot of people have
access, leaving me more than enough time
to swap screens to a 'Work data screen' . Having a
co-worker who also does a solid amount of surfin'helps
a lot.[:praise:]
