Location: Hoboken, NJ / North Webster, IN | Apology to this guy if he's shy, but I found this on a local MI site, and thought it was the coolest pattern I've seen. I'm sure it's some genetic anomoly or the fish has some serious pigment issues. Just curious if anyone else has seen fish similar to this or even stranger....and was hoping they would post the photos up.

Location: Hoboken, NJ / North Webster, IN | Hulbert......jersey somewhere. It came off of the New Jersey MI chapter's website. That's about all I know. Personally I think it's pretty #*^@ cool looking.....but just thought it was interesting and different enough to post, and got me thinking what else was out there. Again, I don't know the guy from Adam, so take it easy on him.

| Look at the tanline on that fish! LOL!
Mother Nature has a way of doing odd things. Just think of albino animals...they're a drastically different color than they should be. Think of people with birthmarks...no rhyme or reason for them. Some have them, some don't. |

| different for sure. The really wierd ones are fish with dark markings on some large portion of their bodies and then a line drawn and light markings on the rest. I can't remember who posted them but they are really cool to look at but would be a bummer to have when you are trying to ambush prey. Hopefully someone who has the pics will post them |

I landed a 46.5" on Webster earlier this year that had the same markings as that one...kinda half and half??? I will try and get some pictures of it up. |

| About twenty years ago, I netted a 52 inch muskie for a friend and that fish was the ugliest muskie that we had ever seen! It was brown background with orange / yellow nearly one inch diameter spots dispersed throughout its hide. This fish had a 24 inch girth, so it was a good fish. We have caught a number of fish from this lake. Most smaller muskies from this flowage water are beautifully barred specimens, with bars becoming not quite as distinct and the brilliant green cast becoming duller as the muskie get larger and older. Sorry that I do not have a photo available of the original UGLY FISH. The REPLICA MOUNT was produced as a beautifully barred musky, instead of what it actually was... at the request of the angler who caught it. |
