you can get the dive charts here: http://www.muskytrollingsecrets.com/

looks like 50# is .014" diameter whereas the 7 strand 30# is .015". http://www.powerpro.com/using/specs.asp 50# might run deeper as a result.

any grandma will run about two foot deeper than a jake of the same size, and your 10inch jake will run about 11ft with about 85-90ft out,and that will vary with length of leader, speed, water temp.,but dont want to confuse you right off the bat!!!

the book does describe the conditions to get these lures to the desired depths you're asking about. I'd give you my experience too if I had it. I just started trolling late summer on my own. I found this forum through Mike Koepp of Mike's Extreme Guide Service. He's the one that showed me a couple of his trolling patterns and why he rigged his boat the way he did. I highly recommend getting out with Mike if you are in SE Wisconsin (http://www.mikekoepp.com).

If you have a certain depth you're targeting, you can try setting out the lures at different lines lengths and run them into the bottom. It is a good way to be sure what depths the lures are running at. The book from MuskyMike68 and Precision Trolling have tips on variables that affect the provided dive curves too. HTH
