you know there are many times when people comment on the community of the musky world and the one that is being built by muskiefirst.com bringing not just muskies but people together ... this is just a thank you for the posts, pm's and emails that come my way through the site especially when i'm gone. it's fun being halfway around the world, but part of the success of my trips is being able to keep contact with home and it makes time in a foreign place a little less "foreign" ... of course the internet is the vehicle, but the ability to keep in contact with what's going on back home through this site is a part of my day over here and i appreciate it.

i miss the chats and look forward to them starting back up in the fall. it's something i can just communicate through with americans before i head out into the wild and crazy countryside over here.

another thought ... when your kids stare at a foreigner because it's the first one you see ... try not to get embarassed and scold, but let them be and show the curiousity. the foreigner knows he/she is one and appreciates making the first impression to a young one. i get to do it often, but had a really great experience this morning with a toddler and his curiosity of me the foreigner and the thought came to me. ....

not musky ... so sorry ... nihao and she-eh she-eh
