The Black Clowd, aka, EsoxAddict is gonna jump in with me this thursday..we are putting in at least 12 hours ... this is for one of the benefit auction days last winter..not sure which one anymore...so send out all your positive musky vibe our way so this guy can get a frickin fish! otherwise I'm really afraid for his coworkers or other musky buddies in his hometown! He might go postal if he doesn't put the steel to something!

No gliders allowed EA.

You're gonna make me bring my phantom collection aren't you?

I don't usually resort to gliders, but I think I might have to make an exception Thursday!

I know it's been a while for him, Brad. When you put him on a fish, remind him to set the hook.

Good luck, EA, you're due. Sounds like Brad's been on a roll, so don't jinx him for the rest of the season.

I would wear garlic around my neck, have a rabbits foot, hop in a circle with one foot every hour, sprinkle holy water in the boat, you can't do enough here. Be as prepeared as possible, your work is cut out for you.

Brad,

CONGRATS on your PB's out of the Madison Chain....WOOHOO!

OK, it is pretty simple to catch fish....bring a silver dollar to the lake, pray this prayer, and drop the coin....

Dear God of ALL...God of muskies mostly for today.
Please allow us the opportunity to put metal to the mighty muskie.
Let EA get a nice muskie...and let her know she'll be just getting her pic taken, and released.
AMEN

This will work...it does for me almost EVERY DAY!

God Bless,
Sincerely,
Donnie

I had EA in my boat Last Sunday, Got close to removing the Cloud - he had a mid 40's chase his bait but would not commit
then I missed one that showed it self after I lifted the bait out of the water for the next cast.

I just hope he did not put a Skunk on my boat

yer killin me Smalls....

Gliders don't work on Madison fish....

but hey, if you wanna throw em...go ahead...you'll be netting my fish all day !

Perfect.

You are allowed 2 gliders in your box for the day. I will inspect the box upon arrival at Olin park..should I find more than 2 gliders I will be selling the others to Ray Erbs who I know would love to buy more gliders for $1 a piece. Throw what I tell you or don't show up! ;-) I'm hardcore that way!

To be honest, I'll probably throw 5 baits all day long, and I could get away bringing 10:

Black/Orange Ace Tandem (Alternate: Chartreuse)
Black/Orange Mag Dawg (Alternate:Walleye)
Sucker 9" Weighted Suick (Alternate: Black/Orange Lace)
Black/Orange Topraider (Alternate: Baby Loon)
Skunk Magnum Eagle Tail (Alternate: Black/Nickel)

But just because Brad loves gliders so much I HAVE TO bring some

ummm helllllooo McFly....I don't see a double cowgirl on that list...I know I'm no Herbie..but please, humor me and throw what I tell you to! at least for the most part!

the list I have in mind doesn't quite match your list...those baits aren't bad..but you wanna get off the skunk or what???

See you at 8 am.

Bring lots of beer!

Relax Nelson, I'm just pullin your chain!

We got sun in the morning, clouds moving in early afternoon, Winds SE at 10-15, New Moon coming up Friday, tomorrow should be a good day.

I just wanna get out and fish. I think you're more worried about me getting skunked than I am!

I'll burn your cooler tonight Jeff, that will teach you to leave your stuff in my garage. Everytime I used it on the boat, I got skunked! I put it in my basement to get it as far away from the boat as possible & the next rain we got, my basement was taking in water. I never had water come in before that!

Hell, I'll probably get burned when I go to torch it...

Good luck and sharpen up those Bucktails & Ace tandems. Brad is on fire & I would be his shadow and follow his every move! Nice fish last night Brad. Ruhmann called me today with the report! You da man!

You know what's weird, Mike?

That cooler was in the boat for every musky I've ever caught. The times I didn't bring it? No fish. Since I left it at your place? No fish.

Maybe it only works for me????

I think I need to get that cooler back, man!

UPDATE!!!!

The black cloud has been lifted....OR HAS IT!!!

EA Did in fact get a muskie to eat! A 36 incher in the fig 8 on a cowgirl....HOWEVER!!!! The black cloud made a twist of fate....as Nelson was grabbing the net etc. the handle of his rod got caught on the net handle and knocked Brads rod in the drink!!! OH IT GETS BETTER!

As Brad reached to grab the rod his momentum carried him right in to the drink as well!!!! WITH phone in pocket!!!! The rod, fish, and wet phone was retrieved.

Luckily Brad had his gor tex bibs and coat in the boat so EA helped him strip down (Ok I added that part ) and got into the Gortex.....

They are still at it....EA had another follow as well...

Rumor has it Brad was able to keep his hair above the water line and protect the "look"(kinda like that beer commercial where the guy doesn't spill his beer).

Will this change the the always peppery EA? Since I've been visiting these forums since last winter, I could always count on his grousing about, well, shall we call them the dark times, or maybe the fishless era. Will he become a sunny, happy go lucky character? I hope not completely, as it would unsteady my musky world view, as EA the irascible, has always been a cyber-constant in it.

Way to go guys. EA, that's gotta feel goooood.

It sure did!!

The day started out as most days on Monona do -- "Are you sure there's muskies in this lake?"

The pike was a nice bonus. It's fun to catch a fish even if it is a snot rocket.

Killing the skunk is a beautiful thing

A calmly executed figure 8 when the fish cooperates is a beautiful thing.

A fat 40.75" is a beautiful thing.

Nelson taking his clothes off in the boat because he just went over the side? I didn't look, but I'm guessing that's not so beautiful!
