1st place with 48.25 and 47.5 (Team Swenson/Roerig)
2nd place 43.25 and 51 (team Oberfoell/Clark)
The rest of the field only had 1 fish each between 41-44.
14 total fish caught.
The 51 was Big Fish of the day.

Bad phone connection, so couldn't get more info.

Tough bite, 2 fish were added to the board 11 team with fish, 13 total

Swenson Roehrig-1st- 47 and 48?
Adam Travis 2nd-51+43
Peckel Miljat 3rd 48

Greg Thomas top 10, Jerome Morris top 10, Rick Rosar Iceman top 10, Genson Keyes top 10, McCarten top 10. Hammernick was not on the Top 10 board, I believe they were 11th.

Day one moved fish, getting them to eat was another story. Started with Broken transducer from running the big water, GPS Module not responding. moved a good fish, threw back at her she and she eats, partner has net in hand and she comes unpinned, then she comes up and skies and shows us she is a good 45-47" fish, get the bait back, no front hook or split ring, $.10 piece of hardware cost us a top 5. Was a sick feeling that afternoon.

Congrats to the fellas that won. I heard about the pattern they put together in the week/s leading up and it paid off!! I actually like to see locals do well, though it does not always happen. Congrats to all who placed, and thanks to the staff for another well run event(the third I have fished in, and equally as fun). The conditions were less than perfect, and the dudes that boated fish really paid their dues for them!

That said, long ride home for me. See, I was fishing with lures that did not have hooks...hehehe. The first one ate a crank on Sat. while I looked back to tell me partner that I just saw another team net a fish accross the channel(why would I have to turn around to tell him???DOHGGH!!). She corkscrewed under the net and gone. 43ish. 20 minutes later, I decided to get out of the waves that were coming over my bow. First cast under a calm tree and my topwater was smoked. She head shook on the top, and gone. 41-42. Ouch again. On our way in at the end of the day(I have to head in earlier than the rest of field as my boat only does 24.76567mph...lol) I decided to fish a deep cut between islands. 10 cast spot. We watched a guy pulling crappies in. We worked a good distance out from him, and cast the open water when WHAM. This time I got her...... my partner lowered the net, and the fish came up 20' out and cartwheeled 2-3 times, tossing the dawg. 40ish(maybe not quite...hopefully) Triple Ouch.

Yesterday, I fished the same spots, nothing but alot of wetness due to the big waves coming from another direction this time. Saw waves breaking over a rock that I saw guys fishing and now knew why they fished it. Went over, tossed a cast onto the rock. Saw her coming way back as she cut through the waves behind the topwater. She wallowed and went for it at the boat the boat. Closed her mouth and I committed cardinal sin numero uno. One I rarely commit though chew the wife out for it frequently(my wife calls it payback..). I pulled before the 'feel'. Gone. 47ish. Should ahve thrown a bucktail at her. Not enough beer in fridge to make pain go away when I got home...heheh

Again, fun tourney and I cannot say enough about the quality dudes that fish this thing. We have met alot of nice people and have made some great acquaintences at PMTT events, and am nothing but pumped up for the championship this fall, and quite possibly an event or two next year(that is if my partner will fish with me..).

Thanks also to the casino, who hosted the event. The service was excellent. Just wish I would have skipped the seafood buffet(only a few chicken wings and some jumbalaya on the tables when we got there).
