| What, if any, cellphone companies have coverage in northern Wisconsin? Say the area from Eagle River to Mercer. Any help would be appreciated. |

| Not that this is the same areas, but I have a Nokia cell from US Cellular and it gets great reception. Our plan is for the Rockford, Illinois area, but when we go up to our cabin in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin I still get great reception.

| I have a Nokia phone on a Cellular One program. It works great until I get up to Eagle River which must be on the edge of the Bermuda Triangle of phone service, unless you stand on one foot on the end of a long dock with a roll of aluminum foil wrapped around your other foot! It is kind of a TV reception/rabbit ear type of thing! |

| I have Verizon and have never had any troubles using it up North (Vilas County). |

| I have my phone in the boat at all times and have never had a problem at all in northern WI. I have a motorola phone and service through Cellcom.

| CellCom is the local carrier in that area. A friend of mine works for them. USCellular is actually using there towers once you get north of Portage county. If you want digital coverage up there, get CellCom. Otherwise you will probably be using the CellCom analog towers with another service.
