Musky Snax baits are made from selected cedar and use the finest hardware, including Mustad trebles, stainless steel screw eyes and extra strong Wolverine triple split rings! The body shapes are designed to closely resemble real baitfish and feature intricate carving of mouth and gill details. Musky Snax baits all have ultra realistic plastic 3-D eyes, which are countersunk into the wood bodies. The exquisite look of the baits is achieved with the use of an airbrush as well as small brushes for the finest details. The finishes are protected with multiple layers of clear, hard epoxy.
Mike also sells the Backwoods "Musky Stix", fishing rods designed to his demanding specifications for working extra-large baits while still being lightweight. I had the opportunity to handle one of these rods this weekend: they are light, powerful, and beautiful.
The MuskieFirst fall trophy outing will take place from October 26-29 at Skyview Lodge and Carlin Lake Lodge in Presque Isle, WI.
