I'll be at the Kevin Worrall Memorial Classic on Pelican this weekend as the MC and general go-fer, shooting a few pictures and covering the event for MuskieFIRST. Sunday Slamr and I will poke at a fish or two early before he has to head back home; he;s up to fish the Classic.

How about you, where are you headed to chase muskies this weekend? Weather forecast for Rhinelander is for a morning shower Saturday, and sun and clouds with no rain Sunday with a high in the 60's.

Lambeau,
If you need a place to stay, we have plenty of room in the house this weekend and the Hideout is empty. Sue's out of town, so you'll have to accept my cooking and less than Sue standard hospitality....

Good luck on Pelican, it always a blast, sucks that I am going to miss this event for the first time in 12+ years, off to do a little prefishing for next weekends event. Full Moon in perigee, should be could bite, I would just follow a green tuffy with a 200 Suzi on the back, you should be fishing good water then.

the problem is that he drives it so dang FAST.
good thing i picked his brain out on the Dead Sea last monday...

gas to Pelican Lake: $50
entry fee for tournament: $100
beating Norm/Todd head-to-head in a tourney and Matchfishing while on Norm's home waters: priceless
eating a big fat serving of crow on Monday: painful

Me and the Merckid are looking to be a serious darkhorse contender at the Kevin Worrall Tourney this weekend.

*I'm actually just hoping for:
-nothing broken.
-no one spontaneously goes swimming
-the motor doesnt find any rocks the locator/GPS doesnt see

If none of the above happen, I'll consider it a good day on the water!

I think maybe I'll have another Utah outing. The last one was fun, even if poorly attended. I guess I gotta advertise them a bit better.

As everyone knows, I will be getting the privilage to share a boat with Slam'r. I am really looking forward to getting to know him and hopefully with some of the intense knowledge that I have had the privilage to accumalate from Mr. Worrall, I just think Slam'r and I might be able to hold our own. Speaking Hypertheotically! But then again, I have to be brought to reality that we are fishing Pelican Lake. Where we could see absolutely nothing! But all in all, should be a fun time and hopefully a overcast day and rain! Bring it on! Good luck to others that will be fishing.

Oh Slam'r, I promise you that your prop will NOT see any rock action tomorrow.

I am heading to Pelican Saturday for the KWMC. I plan on following Slamr and Merckid in the A.M. and then picking up Lambeau's trail in the afternoon. I hope one of those boats is on a hot pattern, if they are I might have a shot!!!

Mike and I are going to fish s.e. Wiscinsin somewhere for our match-fishing , weather is supposed to suck so sitting in front of the t.v. watching the BEARS whoop up on the pack doesn't sound too bad !! I just hope my partner can be a good boy this time , his sound effects make for a long day !!

Norm, I think it's the other way around! I haven't been on the lake for a week. You probably have all the fish scouted out knowing you. You will have a 46' before Slamr and I actually get to take off. At least that's how it worked two years ago when you won! You were back fishing before I had even taken a cast.

Some final packing, and continue shooting the bow...leaving next week Thursday for New Mexico on an elk hunt. I'm sure we'll be doing alot of "muskie talk" and and I'll be catching up on all of the recent hot action up on Eagle Lake...

Elk in New Mexico....SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. Good Luck. If youre near albuqerque, stop in the Apline Sausage Kitchen 2500 Indain School Rd NE. And say hi to Mom for me. She's got the goods and they're all made there on the premises.
Me... up to Minocqua saturday for the Police musky tourny/fundraiser (Sun-tues) for their D.A.R.E. program. Anyone gonna be close by for a cold one? We're camping at the Patricia Lake campground. Call my cell (773)742-3826. Might consider running over to Gerrit's (Post Kevin WorrallClassic) for the afformenetioned cold ones and surely a heaping helping of fisherman's BS. How lat can I expect you guys to be ethere before making the drive over?
