I'm leaving for LOW in a couple of hours. Anything I should check out up there? I've never been there before. We're fishing out of rocky point lodge. I'd rather be going in summer, but free is free!!

are we there yet?

greg,

We're fishing from Arneson's I think. And yes I still want to fish out of your boat at the cave. Only a month away!! Sounds like you are going down early huh? Good, nice to get the jump on those other guys.

Hooker, how did you know?

I've got my two best jigging sticks tied up to rattle spoons. Expensive, but worth it I hear. I'll post a report on monday when we get back. See yah![] []

Back from the frozen tundra.

Fishing report: Close to a hundred walleye/saugers caught each day. Most were under 10 inches. brought home 30 walleye/sauger and 30 perch. Biggest walleye 21" sauger 16" perch 13" pout 35". Weather:cold and partly cloudy. Fished in 28 feet off south side of 12 mile reef out from arneson's. Jigging spoons and set lines porduced about the same. Gold rattle spoons and yellow/orange jig spoons produced best. A varied presentation seemed to catch more fish, ie:try hooking the minnow head horizontally when that quits working try something else. Almost if the wallguys were getting bored and just wanted a little variety. Very little snow on the ice. two wheel drive cars were out and about. 32" of ice. A fun time had by all.

can't wait to go in summer
