The tournament is the 9th of September, that's a Saturday. I think TJ may be able to fish it with you, I'll ask him this week.

I have not missed too many since it has started. Took 2nd a few years back and my friends took 1st last year. Great event. One question Steve. Last year they limited it to 2 fish. My friends caught 2 fish by 11 and they had to quit. Since this is a immediate release tournament why can't we enter more than 1 fish. Thanks.

I believe the tournament was permitted by the DNR with that restriction. I'll speak with Gary about getting that changed next year.

Thanks, Steve. Forgot to log in the first time. I also think they should keep guides (Norm) out of the tournament.
Just kidding. Maybe they should just handicap guides (Norm) by subtraction 10" from every fish they catch.

Hey.........I have enough personal handicaps to deal with, no sense in making it even tougher on me!!!

This is shaping up to be a great tourney this year. Gary is putting a ton of effort into making this the best KWMC ever. It even sounds like there will be a couple of film crews there to televise the event later on in September.

Oh yeah.....the fish are going too. Five in the boat on Pelican in the last three trips. Water temps are back around 72, and the bigguns are starting to show up back on structure. Should be fun!

Oh yeah, Todd and I are IN!

Hey Norm, do you know if you only can register 2 fish per boat this year? Not that my boat has ever caught 2 legals before in the tournament but just wondering. Also any action on the east side rocks? Thanks

I can answer the question about the east end rocks, moved several there last week. They're there, and active.

Jimbo,
Yes it is a 2 fish limit. I talked to Gary about that, and I think it is going to be very hard to get him to change that one, I for one wish he would, but he has some reasons. I will continue to work on him for next years tourney.

Rocks??? Muskies???? I thought you had to fish weeds to find fish!!!!!

Check out my website on the reports section. My last report pretty much sums up what is still happening on "the not so dead sea".
