I may have an opportunity to fish Eagle Lake this fall. I have fished Eagle the last several years in August and always wondered (dreamed) how the fall bite would be. Has anyone fished Eagle for fall muskies, how is it, and would it be worth going up there for @3 full days of muskie fishing. When would be the best time to go (I was thinking around the beginning of October)Also would turnover be an issue. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Nope ....don't go....fall stinks!!

Just kiddin'....this happened last fall for me!! I would suggest insuring you don't hit 50 degree water temps. I'd suggest the first week of October, or after Nov. 1st. Turnover isn't a problem, exception is late September!

We are going up to Eagle the third weekend of october. Anyone have any experience with that time of year they could share? We will be fishing mostly the east end around stanton island.

The south east and west of Stanton is good, also the whole bay {Stanton} is also good I have been to Eagle 10 time in 3 years.
Thats were we prototype new baits for the show season, I'm from your area as well.
I have some other spots close to stanton as well . I'm headed up for the last time this year on the 2nd of sept, Be back on the 12 or so
e mail me after that and i'll send some more spots your way. Do you have a GPS if so I'll also send some lat and log spots,
They will be dead on. If no gps i'll figure some other { maybe by phone} way to get you on some Monsters.
You staying at Century?

Give me some time to resond
