My guess is the rather rare color which collectors like. I sold a depthraider on ebay earlier this year that was a rare color and it fetched nearly $60 bucks.

I'm curious wether he has the NFL's approval to be doing these lures? If not he could find himself in a world of hurt as the NFL does not take this kind of thing lightly!

Location: ontario canada - Well Anderson Indiana now		That Peyton Manning lure works well if you work it REAL slow and use a huge leader to protect it! Of course when you REALLY need it to perform it will SUCK!

But, even if it was a rare color, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a used one & have someone like Durst or MRG paint it for you?

those two guys are not buying lures like that to fish with... that is what you call a "collectable" lure... that color was probably a show color or something making it rare and allegedly worth around what it sold for...
