I plan on buying a 334i Lowrance. Any pointers on what options to get? I will need an external transducer and my boat is a single console with pleanty of room to mount stuff. Pretend you are getting this for your boat

Here is ths page:

Accessories:

My main bodies of water will be Minnesota/Canada 100' depths or less. I also would like to travel with this unit when I do my fly ins into Canada.
I have already seen some travel packs at Cabelas and may save soem money with those.

Thanks,
James

You might really like the navionics chips. Other than that...I don't know if there are any accessories that you would need.

I will have the Minnesota nav chip. Wish Canada waters (Ontario) had a nice one with about 500 lakes on it.
Got Esox?

You may have used the emulator for the sonar's before but here is the link to the product emulator to give her a test drive from the comfort of your home.

Also here is a link for a "best bang for the buck" sonar mount. I have the 334 and used this mount. It makes it very easy to twist the unit 180 degrees to view it while help front running the Trolling motor and fishing. Also cn give flexibility in where you can mount it of your console.

1. Don't get the 334i, get the 332. 334i has the internal antenna and tends to lose sat signal often.

2. Don't get the Navionics chip with the smaller units. You can't zoom in nearly far enough. Get the Lakemasters chips.

Thanks guys! Big fan of RAM mounts! I plan on getting the Lakemaster chip for $99 (MN maps). Also will get the travel pack with the sucktion cup sonar for my flyins into Canada. Did not know about the 334c iGPS losing sat com a lot. I will ask my buddy who has one how well his works too.

Thanks again!
