Location: Brookfield, WI | I was lucky enough to get out today on Pewaukee with a couple of excellent partners. Joel Michel and his partner Shep were kind enough to allow me to be the third man today for a delightful Saturday morning troll. The conversation was lively and plentiful. Other boats dragging muskies baits were abundant. We weaved our way through and around this flotilla for several hours before the sound of a clicker demanded our attention.
I missed that fish due to what I would soon find out was a reeling style that was a bit panicky, and a lot lurchy. The next time the clicker sounded, Shep displayed a smooth, confident style of reeling that resulted in a 37" musky. I observed his success with a keen eye. Within the hour, the clicker again called to us. Joel graciously permitted me to emulate Shep's reeling style, thus producing our second musky of the day, and my second lifetime, a 37 1/2 incher. It was very cool to see these two experts make sure these fish were well revived before they were released. This, too, was observed with a keen eye, and filed for future reference.
Trolling is fun. It makes it easy for me to fish while doing maybe what I do best, talk. I'm looking forward to another opportunity to troll and talk this Monday with my other mentor, Professor Koepp.
Thanks for taking us Joel. Shep, it was nice to get to know you. You would make an excellent partner.

Location: Lino Lakes, MN | Good work boys. I had a feeling those fish were gonna go today with the weather finally cooling off and the clouds coming out. Congrats on your fish, Kevin, there will be many more to come...including an Eagle fatty in the near future.

Location: Racine, Wi | Kev, it was a great morning indeed. I think people might have seen sparks coming from my boat as the talk was nooooon stop. Kev learned that trolling and more importantly getting the fish in the boat trolling, is not as easy as it sounds. He did learn fast though, and did a great job on that second fish. Very quick pics and both fish took off good. The fish Kev got was a little skinny in the back half. It's gill was torn up and was blind in the left eye, but had a fat belly. Sheps fish tried to high jump the planer board line, but Shep kept it from making a serious mess. Great morning on the water boys. We'll do it again!

| You have a fixation on the word, partner, now, Kevin. hehehehe
Thanks, Tuffdaddy!
Was great fishing with you. Much improved on that second fish. Show the Extreme One how it's done tonight. I'm sure his mind is pretty much shot after his Saturday's clients.

Had a great time and looking forward to doing it again , learned alot about trolling and fishing Pewaukee . We haven't had the best o' luck fishing there and I think it will change after 1 day of fishing with Joel !! Joel , next time we'll troll for walleyes in my boat !! Location: Racine, Wi | Jeremy, A good time was had by all. It was good to score a couple of fish, but not what I was looking for. That walleye was a bonus. Hopefully you guys learned alot and can get some action trolling now on Pewaukee and some of the other lakes.

| Landy, I kept looking at that boat, and feeling I knew who that was. Sorry it didn't click, or I would have yelled at you!
You ever get up this way, holler, and we'll go fish!
