| Hello all.
I am looking for some help buiding some in line spinners with rubber skirts. It is nothing against any of the baits offered on the market. I have always wanted to build a bait and catch a fish on it. Same as building a stick and catching a fish on it.
I have the basic understanding on how...I just need help finding the components to make them.
Any help would be appreciated.

For the skirts, you can buy them but I prefer to make my own. I double loop 30lb stranded wire through a crimp and pull tight with some vise grips. Making the loop as big as you want will allow you to get as much skirt material in one skirt as you would like. Your only getting so much through that little rubber band before it snps or goes flying off. The other great thing is you don't have a rubber band to rot and you won't find your spinner in your tackle box with the skirt material laying in the bottom of it. |

Location: Racine, Wi | Another thing that works well for rubber are zip ties. Those won't rot on ya either. Making your own bucktails etc are sweet. I put 2 in the boat this past week on some biiiiig tails I make. It's always cool when an experiment pays off. I'd post pics but my internet is down at home, and I haven't loaded any on my puter yet. |

Location: oswego, il | One thing about zip ties, I tried them, make sure you have good ones that don't undo themselves. Maybe I pulled them too tight, I don't know but I ended up putting a drop of superglue on them to keep them snug. If you can make it work, it's probably a faster solution than the way i do it. |
