I am going to take my wife up north for a couple of days towards the end of next week. She hasn't fished yet this year and I have only been out a few times. Does anyone have a suggestion for an action lake or an easy lake to fish. We only have a couple of days, kind of a mini vacation. We are not really limited to where we go within reason. Thanks for the help. Terry.

There are lots of action waters in the Rhinelander area, I'd be happy to give you marked maps.

I've heard the Spider chain in hayward is an action lake...never fished it though. Good luck!

If an action lake is what youre looking for, WILDCAT out of boulder is it! the fish arent very big in there, they are kinda skinny I think from the competition for food, but, throw a 6" jake or small burned bucktail and hold on! I have had on average 6-7 fish days with a 13 fish day being the most on that lake, Like I said though, biggest fish I have ever seen there was maybe a 40. tons of 30-32 inchers.

Thanks for the offers, suggestions and PMs. I was figuring on one of those three areas of the state to go but we still haven't decided. Jane got excited when she read the responses. Thanks again. Terry
