Does anyone currently run clamp on Down- Easters on their Esox Magnum? I curently have them just mouned on the gunnel however I was wondering if there was a better/more secure/better for the boat option. Its it ok to just have them clamped on to the fiberglass? Thanks

The double clamp S-10 Downeasters work great on an Esox Mag. Put a piece of scrap carpeting between the clamps and the boat to protect the finish.

The down east is the only rod holder I use on my Esox Mag. They work great and the carpeting will keep the scratches away.

Sounds good, I wasn't sure if clamping them right to the side would be too much stress on the fiberglass. I was looking into some of the trojan tackle systems as a possibility down the road but if it will be ok to clamp directly to the side that will be great. Thanks again.
