Location: north central wisconsin | Just got back from a weeks vacation, where I used my Eagle Fishmark 320 up in the front for the first time. I have it hooked through my Minn Kota universal sonar cable. Now, I had alot of trouble with this setup last week, in that I would lose bottom at anything greater than about 18'. It never did show bottom very well in shallower water either. Now, I never did try running it with the rear unit turned off(Lowrance LCX 25). I used to run my Vexilar fl-8 up front with my rear unit on, and it worked excellent. I started running the Eagle as the Vexilar is so hard to see in the bright sun anymore. I was wondering what you might think the problem is, as we leave for Canada on Friday, and I might have to switch back to the vex if I cannot get things right with this. I never thought running two units coincidingly would cause issues, but maybe that is the problem..?.. I need to run them both at once as my gps is on the rear unit, and I like to see which way I am situated on structurer when night fishing, and having both units on really aids in that. Suggestion?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, last thing. I have them connected to two different batteries too, so that shouldn't be the issue. |

Location: searchin for 50 | You would still get interference if they have almost same frequency. best bet put fl-8 back on board if you dont have time to replace other (front) unit. |

Location: north central wisconsin | thanks for the reply. Will switch back tonight. Tried it with the rear locator off, and it was fine. Vexilar will be back in action. |

| If you want both on try two depth finders with different freq, Say one 200Khz and one 50Khz or one of the old humminbird LCD's that are 455Khz |

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | The cones of the two units are crossing.... I would also suggest you use different frequencies for each unit.
Another thing that may work is to get a transducer (or two) that have a tighter cone angle so that their cones dont widen out as much. This would give you added depth without changing out your units.
The vexilar has a nice feature on it that allows you to help reduce interference, but the transducers are still 200kHz and some overlap will occur as well.
Good luck
