| I think you may have some misinformation. Woman lake has not been stocked and is a natural musky lake due to its connection with the Boy River System.
A buddy's parents have lived on the lake for the last several years and he has yet to find a musky out there. Some textbook spots out there, but the population is low making them difficult to target I think. There is always some big fish caught out there each year, but very few. The lake is also infested with Rusty Crayfish so there the main lake as very few weeds. There are rock piles everywhere. That would be a good place to start. Look for buoys on the East end of the lake or fish the structure near the island.
Many people wish they would stock this lake to enhance the musky population that is there. Not sure what the deal is, but it seems to make sense especially since they are already there, just not in abundance. The DNR could bolster the fishing opportunities in MN by enhancing some of the natural musky lakes as well, instead of just looking for new lakes to stock.
Sorry I am not much help, but we haven't found anything out there. |

Location: Athens, Ohio | Juris Olzos, assistant editor of Muskie magazine, fishes Woman Lake every year and provides some of us with a daily trip blog that is entertaining and informative. They go primarily for the plentiful walleye, but he has mentioned muskies on occasion. You might want to conatct him thru the magazine or Muskies Inc. webpage. m |

| The place I read that it was stocked with tigers every other year was the sportsman's connection. The white book with spots marked etc.. I was reading it at work yesterday and it does say that it gets/was getting (dont remember) stocked every other year. I hear theres plenty of smallies to. We may just try and hit them and see what happens. |

I noticed that in the Sportsman Connection book as well and have always questioned that. That's the only place I have ever heard or read of any musky stocking in Woman Lake. My understanding has always been that they don't stock it and have no intentions to stock it. This is unfortunate, in my opinion, as a small supplemental stocking every few years could really help to create a tremendous musky fishery out there.
Here's some additional information on the lake for you, if you haven't checked this out already.

| I have most of the stocking reports from Minn dnr the last 10 yrs,,,,dont recall ANY lakes outside the metro Mpls/St Paul and subburbs area ever being stocked with tigers,,,,DNR has a firm policy of not stocking lakes with Natural repo,,,weve been trying for years to get Winnie supplemented |

Location: oswego, il | Went to that lake as a wee tot, caught my first pike there way the heck back in 1970. I remember it having some really nice weedbeds and now what I read about it, that they are all but gone. Dam crayfish. |

Location: Maple Grove, MN | There are actually way more big Northerns in Woman than Muskies. Expect to have way more luck on the bonus Pike.
If you really want Muskies, trailer over to Baby, Little Boy, Wabedo, or Leech. Baby is the closest, but the landing is small so you have to get there early. Little Boy and Wabedo have good landings and, of course, Leech has the best Muskie fishing in the area.
Good luck.
