Location: minocqua, wi. | this is not intended to be a bash subject, so please refrain ... i'd like to keep it alive if possible. i bought all new color electronics this year with the 25c on the dash with the powered antenna and the 334c up front with the internal antenna. i love the 25c, but seem to be having a problem with keeping the satellite connection up front with the internal antenna ... i talked to the Gander store that i got it from and they suggested i contact lowrance directly and tell them of the problem and ask them to return and replace with the model that has the external antenna. it's at least my experience that this product is not ready for prime time and i'm hoping to be able to make a swap .... otherwise it's basically a waste of around $600.00 and something i'll have to try to sell and then replace ....
any others out there with a similar experience or anyone connected with lowrance through a pro-staff thing or something that might have any information on the subject?
thanks |

| John I am running a 110c in back and a 334c up front, the only thing that I can see a difference in is that the 110 with the
external gps finds position alot faster than the internal 334..... I have never lost position with the 334 no matter which angle I have the screen tilted. I bought my unit in april this year maybe they had the problems straightend out by then who knows good luck. |

| Just a Question not a comment. Why do you need a GPS unit on the front of the boat? What purpose does it serve? When do you use it? |

Location: mad chain | Just a update on my 334c, I sent it in June 30th., they got it July 3rd. and today is July 16th and i have not had any response from it yet. They did tell me to send it because they new there was a problem and it did sound like they had a fix for it. One other thing I have found out is we don't need to buy a new unit if there upgrade don't work, we can make 334c into 332's buy adding a puck. If I get more info I will post it. |

| Guest we use it for BACKUP if one ever goes down especially on big water when you are many miles from camp. Also some of the lakes show 1 or 3 foot contours and you can stay on course by using gps up front also if you find the spot on the spot you can mark it with a icon and come back to that exact spot NO GUESSING GAMES. |

| My other post was removed. I had a bad experience with a lowrance internal antenna too. |

| Guest, I use a GPS on the bow for the same reason I use one on my dash, to see where I am in relation to the breaks, humps, etc. It's much easier to just look down at the GPS on the bow than to run back and look at one on the dash. |

| Call Lowrance, and they will have you send it in. There was an issue with some of the internal antenna units. I have one I just bought, and I will be sending it in. They'll take care of you. |
