with. it has split legs and good action and noise. |

| My top 3 are:
1. Creepenstein x3...not the brides, I like the big version
Why? 11 fish over 38 the first 7 times out with it makes a strong point. Not a subtle bait by any stretch, and you can use them in waves and wind.
I do have a Creeptonite and really like the sound of that bait. I haven't thrown it hardly at all yet so I don't have an opinion but I like it so far. Simply having too much fun with DDD's at this point to break out the creepers. |

| My favorite is the Bitten Tackle Shaker.
Built like the proverbial brick shthouse.
Wings won't bend out of tune.
Stays in the water on strikes.
And, it's one of the few that you can speed up and it will still run. Hard to blow it out.
Plus, it moves and catches fish.

I only got a look at the one you showed me while at Larry's a few weeks ago, but it looked pretty good if you want my non-profesional opinion.
Otherwise, I really like my Joel Wick creepers, they just have really nice sound and are very well built. Before I got a couple from Joel, the slammer jointed creeper always had a nice sound also.

Straight and jointed. Just started using them this year, and havent had much time with them yet, but I see myself removing them from the jaws of many muskies in the coming seasons.
The jointed can really scoot along and keep a nice action.
The straight has one of the biggest sounds in a very small package that should hook and hold well.

Location: nationwide | Over the years my creeper preference has changed from Bauers in the 80’s, to LeLures in the 90’s, and since to Wakemakers. Regardless of whose I was throwing I usually had 2 or 3 creepers for different water conditions from calm to whitecaps.
Below I have the three Wakemakers that have gotten the most use this season. Gale makes the most unique creepers out there bar none.
My biggest creeper fish was a 48 incher two years ago, in whitecaps, and I actually saw the head of the fish come out of a wave an instant before she grabbed the lure. I will forever have that hit in my minds eye . . . . . awesome!!!!!!
The first photo is a wide body creeper I use during calm water and after dark. It rides low in the water and has a super deep "ploop", and looks pretty mean, which may not matter to the fish but I think is cool.
The second photo is a somewhat knock off of a Frenchie fatboy. It has a real loud metallic noise along with the ticking of the rear blade, the knocking of the joint, and add the plooping of the wings. It is a very "busy" lure during a retrieve.
The last photo is a larger than standard jointed creeper, Gale calls this style lure a smash and grab and I mainly use it in rough water. A unique metallic noise and ploop usually gets the attention of anything hungry, including smallies to 20 inches.
As I get older my creepers are getting used more and more, even during times I would never have thought of throwing one just a few years ago. And the fish have been pretty receptive.

Location: Kentucky | What a setup, Doug! My favorite is your Bitten Tackle Shaker. I have two of them, one of which was inhaled on the figure 8 last week on LOTW Monument Bay... only problem was it was by a 36.5" fish  Indestructable wings, lots of noise, fast or slow speed... what's not to like?
I also like the Slammer creepers for subtle stuff.

Location: Minneapolis, MN | Since getting my Joel Wick creeper with spreaders my hookups on creepers have been much higher than without spreaders. Joel makes one hell of a bait. I also love Luke's Wave Walker creeper for windy nights. That thing makes a TON of noise and calls in the big girls. |
