I live on a lake, a 350 acre ovel, about 1.5 miles across, maybe less, longways.

My buddy has a boat. A fast boat. It's 15' long and has a 454 motor on the back. Yep, a 454 on a 15' boat. It does 115mph on the water. No windshield. On my lake, he uses the first third of the leangth to get to speed, the middle third to top out and go, and the last third to slow down. I usually don't condone or participate, the boat is SOOO LOUD. Well, I went for a ride and he decided to impress me. We hit a wake and I swear we flew, well, I don't know how far. Scary far. After slowing down, he went into a power turn at about friggin 90mph, like a stone skipping along, round and round. Totally crazy, everything in the boat is coated with thrown oil and the seats are not attached to anything. Totally crazy, the boat should have flipped.

I have done some dumb stuff, jumping off 200' cliffs at dawn with a head full of rainbow-brain-gobblers, etc. But never have I hit such a peak of crazy behavior. Oh, and I lost my muskiefirst hat somewhere between 115mph and coming out of the power spins. I had it inside my shirt, when we slowed down it was just gone. Just gone.

The MuskieFirst hat is good for fishing. I also wear one when I'm out stylin', which has elicited many favorable responses.

For your next little buzz around the lake in that boat, I would get the MuskieFirst helmet. Upgrade to the padded chin strap to avoid chafing.

Dude, such rides will make my Gambler driving seem tame (I lost my best MFirst hat - the one from the Cass outing - off the Gambler with Papa Joe at Cave Run). I finally got a new one at the Rhinelander outing.
May I suggest that your hat loss is a sign that you need to get your head to a Muskie First outing for a replacement (hat)? see ya, m

Yo buds,

Cools to yous. Steve, I have my old M1 hat and I have Mike's addy to buy another. All is well.

I wonder how many folks have a M1 jacket??? I do, I'm so proud, got it in a bidding war to help that kid way back when. I have 3 Michigan Master Angler patches on the sleeve (all muskies, natch) and a groovy cool Grateful Dead patch sewed on the lower back. I'm such a bad-ass.
