Slammer top water and Bauer are the best ones I know of. I perfer to use the non-jointed ones since I've heard stories of the joints letting loose on some jointed baits. I don't want to take that kind of chance on a fish of a lifetime!

In my opinion, Slammer Topwater has the best Creeper on the market. Both the straight and the jointed version feature thru-wire construction, so they can't come apart.
I've been using LeLure Creepers for years, but they are no longer available. I believe the Slammer Topwater Creeper is as high quality as the old LeLures.
By the way, if you stumble on to a LeLure Creeper at a decent price, buy it. Try it out, but I don't suggest fishing with it. I lost a LeLure bait a couple seasons ago, and I'm still pissed!

I have a Lelure creeper that came in a numbered box. I bought it at Indian trial a few years ago. Is there any value to it other than the $30 I paid for it? It’s black, used, and works.

nxtwrldrcd,

No, it has no value. Send it to me and I'll dispose of it for you! LOL

Yes, it's probably worth as much or more than you paid for it, especially if you still have the box. I've heard that the box doubles the price of collectible lures.

Any collectible lure is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I saw some LeLure Creepers on Ebay, and they were in the $40 to $50 range. If I were you, I'd hang on to it. Or I'd be willing to trade some Bootails for it.

Good Fishing,

I too have to agree with Dave and others that about the best creepers made now are those from Slammer topwater. Good hardware and even more importantly, they catch fish.

I have had the best success on LeLure Creepers. I was lucky enough to pick up a bunch of them when they were on sale at Rollie and Helens. They are awesome but hard to come by now. They are available on e-bay for big bucks. I like both the straight model and the jointed fetch 'n catch.

The best creeper out there is made by a friend of mine, Ryan Jinkerson(Rylure). It's just too bad he isn't nmaking them anymore. They were just like the lelures, just built tougher yet believe it or not.
