Subject: Problem with Eagle Ultra Classic

My old Eagle Ultra Classic is dying - display works but every pixel is dark. Took it apart and nothing obvious wrong but I'm sure the problem is on the PC board, not the actual display because some wiggling and flexing of the PC board can sometimes coax it into working - just can't pinpoint the problem . Apparently this is a common problem but Eagle doesn't sell parts so nobody fixed them - anybody experince this and manage to fix it? (I'm going to buy a new finder, but my boat has forward and back tranducers and I also have a portable pack for the Ultra Classic and it's a pain to replace all that - the new units aren't compatible with the older transucers)

If you are wiggling and making it work, check the wiring and connextion between the display and board. If you cannot make it work, there are craploads of older units on ebay and I have seen your unit on there many times. I just bought a new in box '01 eagle accura 240 with temps sensor for my brothers boat, 86 bucks at my door. Still has the sulifane around it.
