Recently purchased a double llungen tail that I was not impressed with the skirt color. I want to color it solid black. Aside from taking a permanent marker to each individual skirt strand are there any other options? Maybe the color dye used for coloring plastic worms or even hair dye? Anyone attempted this before? Thanks in advance.

You can permanently dye anything with Rit Dye if you are careful. I even dye my own bulldawgs so I can have Purple/White and Pink/White Spring Dawgs for Pike and Tiger Muskie fishing. Another option that you might want to look into is purchasing a product that we use for fly tying called Silicone Sili-Legs. They are cheap and make devastating skirting materials for bucktails. I put them on all of mine.
