Shep, I can't do Sunday unfortunately, but Slamr, Musky Mike and I are heading out of Racine tomorrow. The 3 muskyteers. I have some notion of what I'm doing (so I think), but if and when we hook up for the first time, you'll hear us for sure. heh heh heh

By the way, do you know how much of a lead to run from the dipsey to a flasher? I know the flasher to fly lenghts and to vary those, but not sure how far back from the dipsey to run the flasher.

Can't make it out Sunday, but Saturday the two tallest guys in muskie fishing (Joel and MuskieMike) will be with me to baptise the Tuffy in the waters of Lake Michigan.

Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu young ladies of Spain. For we've received orders for to sail back to Boston and so nevermore shall we see you again.....

Y'all know me..know how I earn a 'livin. I'll catch this bird for ya, but ain't gonna be easy. Bad fish. Not like goin' down to the pond and chasin' bluegills or tommycats. This shark...swallow you whole...little sinkin'....little tenderizin....down you go. Now we gotta do it quick. That'll bring back the tourists, that'll put all your businesses on a payin' basis. But it's not gonna be pleasant. I value my neck alot more than three thousand bucks chief. I'll find him for three...but I'll catch him and kill him...for ten. You gotta make up your minds...wanna stay alive and ante up...wanna play it cheap be on welfare the whole winter. I don't want no voulunteers, I don't want no mates, there's to many captains on this island. Ten thousand dollars for me by myself. For that you get the head...the tail...the whole #*^@ thing.

I liked it when his legs got chopped off and he started on fire.

Good luck out there guys. After you catch a few you should drive the Tuffy up to Summerfest. Those tall guys could walk right up those big stones carrying Andrew between them.

Shep, good luck to you guys, too. You're practically at Summerfest. Cruise into that lagoon and watch the pot smokers on the rocks.

"On the Waterfront" and "Dr. StrangeLove". Not as sure on the second.

Andrew, that new job, seems to be challenging you.

Jimmy Dugan: Evelyn, could you come here for a second? Which team do you play for?
Evelyn Gardner: Well, I'm a Peach.
Jimmy Dugan: Well I was just wonderin' why you would throw home when we got a two-run lead. You let the tying run get on second base and we lost the lead because of you. Start using your head. That's the lump that's three feet above your ass.
[Evelyn starts to cry]
Jimmy Dugan: Are you crying? Are you crying? ARE YOU CRYING? There's no crying, there's no crying in baseball. Rogers Hornsby was my manager, and he called me a talking pile of pig#*#*. And that was when my parents drove all the way down from Michigan to see me play the game. And did I cry? NO. NO. And do you know why?
Evelyn Gardner: No, no, no.
Jimmy Dugan: Because there's no crying in baseball.

Kevin, We almost got busted by an undercover on those rocks back about 1981! Fortunately for me, the roach dropped into the rocks when it was passed to him, and he couldn't get it out! No evidence, no bust! hehehe

OK, so Tuffdaddy, Tuffy, and Slamr are out. We need 5 for Sunday morning. PM me for the deatils. Weather looks great, and I'm sure the fish will cooperate! Cory Painter, where are you? Sanks, Extreme, Netman! Let's rock the Big Pond!

Slamr, you are in a league of your own! hehehe

Shep my friend, those were the days. Late 70's and early 80's Summerfest was a blast, and not just because people smoked pot on those rocks. Much better selection of music. The main stage was general admission and people would get trampled running for seats when they opened the gates. Lost part of my hearing in front of a wall of speakers at a George Thoroughgood/Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes show around '82. Saw the Blasters play under the Freeway in a thunderstorm around that time also. One of the most fun nights of my life. I can remember some of it like it was yesterday. Roy Orbison, Mink Deville, Steve Earle, John Lee Hooker. We'd stake out seats from 11:00 am 'til the main bands played at 10:00 pm. Those were the days.

I didn't really hate large groups of people in my teens and twenties. Now, about the third time some kid with his pants falling off bumps into me, I'm ready to head out. I'm good for an afternoon to eat some eggplant and a couple sandwiches, and that's the extent of it. Think I've gotten old?

Cruising around catching salmon seems like a better idea.

If anybody that reads this goes to the festival, eat something from the Crawfish Trap/Q's BBQ. Good food, and two of my buddies own the place.

Kevin

Maybe one afternoon next week in the plan.

Remember, it's Summerfest.
I don't know if they even have a contest anymore, but I remember that the marinas are always very crowded with people who like to park off of Summerfest and enjoy the music from their boats.
How's fishing been?
I noticed in the last week when I took my dog swimming, there is a massive alewife die-off going on with literally thousands of them being seen in the shallows no matter where you are. I walked from the Cudahy Water Pump station to north of Sheridan Park, and it was a wave of the 3-4 inchers that extended out as far as I could see.
Just wondering how the fishing is, because there is a ton of food going to waste in the shallows south of Milwaukee.
