I am thinking of purchasing an airbrush. Some of my lures are showing some good wear on them from bashing rocks and hooks and a few fish( i could lie and say it is due to all these many fish i catch). what are some good recomendations for air brushes that wont cost me an arm and a leg?

who says you aren't lying right now?? [;)] [] Got a secret lake or lure?

as far as airbrush goes, perhaps ask out2llunge (see his website www.out2llunge.com for his email address. I'm sure he would be glad to help you out. Also check out his site and look for info on painting lures.

I've got a Pasche double action air brush. I've had it for about 4 years and I paint everything from jigs to muskie lures with it. I even got an epoxy clearcoat from Moores Lures that you can thin enough to air brush it.
Whatever you get, get LOTS of thinner and make sure that you get the proper thinner for the kind of paint that you are using. Keeping the brush clean is a major priority.
If you want any particulars....drop me an e-mail.

Divani: It is up to you to decide.....of course, rocks are much easier to hit than muskies are to catch.

Beav: Thanks for the info as well as Divani. I will look at them. I also hear Badger is a pretty good product?

I have a Pasche and an older Badger, Both are really good, Just remember you get what your paying for. Cheaper brushes are pretty much a waste of money. Its just like buying any tool spend the little extra and you'll be much happier. If you look around on the web sites you'll find very good package deals.

I use Paasche's HS series. You can buy them in a complete kit that comes with bottle's and extra tips. Make sure you paint in a well ventilated area and us a respirator.
