Location: on a musky lake | my father mother and i all went out on opening day to waneta lake. (its a small musky lake in new york) we were hoping to at least get 1 or 2 but were very suprised by the outcome. we fished from sunrise to about 7p.m. and we boated 10 muskies! we got 2 right off in the morning both nice healthy and amazingly fat 32inchers. both caught by my father. we trolled and fished the other weedbeds at the south end and my dad got a 40inch musky while twitching a grandma on the outside weed edge. For a while afterward nothing happened (typical musky fishing though  ) until we pulled up to the northern weedbed after a lake-length troll. On my first few casts i got hammered by a fat 40incher while burning my bucktail over a nice weed patch. On that pass i got another fish mesuring 33inches rose one, and my dad lost 2 fish and one would have measured probably around 43-44inches. After a second pass we decided to try the south weedbed and i got another fish that was 34inches.Later we tried the north end again and my mom boated a 37incher!  after some more fishing my dad got 3 more all in the 30inch range. overall it was an amazingly good day with lots of action. No real big ones but the 40inchers fought nice.but hey when musky fishing u take what u get

Location: on a musky lake | . it is full of alwhives(sorry i dont know how to spell it) and is considered one of the most densly popualted lakes with baitfish. so my father caught on to that and everybody just throws perch patterns but thats not the key
