| i'VE BEEN SEARCHING THE FILES THIS AM LOOKING FOR THE SAME INFO-- CAN'T GET A SEARCH FOR POWER HANDLE OR HANDLE TO BRING UP ANYTHING --Any idea if adding a power handle or aftermarket handle of any variety can increase to ease of casting all day. Increasing the ability to burn lures quickly would ne nice also Thanks ManitouDan |

Location: In the slop! | There is (or was) a 'live bait' handle available from Shimano. It's a nice power type handle. You might try the Abu power handle for 4600-6500 size reels, I have one on a BM50. I don't have a 400 calcutta, but would think the shaft size would be the same. There are also aftermarket handles available, check Rollie and Helens. Another option is the calcutta te handle (the Abu power handle will fit a 400 te so it should fit the standard 400 fine). You might have to get creative with the handle nut when swapping between brands. |

| I called Shimano yesterday about this: The Trinidad handle will fit the TE, I did not ask about the standard Calcutta. They did say It will void the warranty because of the excess stress. I ordered one anyway.

Location: NEW LENOX IL | Recieved my gatorgripster handles yesterday. They are the same size as the std 400 handle but the grip area seems way better, more squared off than the std grip area. I always had a slipping problem with the std handle and wet hands.
I would love to try the new ones out asap but need to go north to do so. You guys think the wife will buy that one ! (lol)
Thanks for all the other options ,if the gators dont cut it I'll give one of the others a try.
