Location: Lino Lakes, MN | Just got the call from a very excited and very proud new father. At 7:56am Joel became a dad when his wife gave birth to a 20", 8lb 10.5oz baby girl. Dad reports that both wife and baby are doing just fine. He even got to change his first diaper and give his first bath this morning. GREAT news man, I couldn't be happier for you and your family. Congrats and best of luck to you guys. Put up a few pictures of Ellie when you get a chance. Enjoy it bud.

We should start a pool to guess how long it will be before little Elly is taken in a boat and gets to see her first musky. I guess 10 weeks.

Location: Racine, Wi | Thanks guys. Wow! What a long couple of days. I'm sure all of you with children can attest, those women go through some crazy stuff. Glad it's not me though. I pulled a 36 hour day today, but it is well worth it. Her name is Ellie Nicole Michel, and she has got to be the most beautiful thing I've ever layed eyes on. Here's one of my first pictures with here. Thanks again for the thoughts guys. Both mom and baby are doing great now.

Go ahead and think I'm nutz, I have a couple kids, and they are quite suddenly adults. Enjoy the trip there sir, it's a blast. |

Just because she is a girl does not mean that she can't be your fishing partner for life. Make sure to give her every opportunity you would a boy.
Good Luck, Bro!

| Joel,
Congrats on the birth of your beautiful baby girl! Boys are great, but there is something special about the bond between a father and his daughter. I'm sure you two will share lots of great boat time, and she will be a constant source of pride to you. Give the mom a big hug, and congrats for me! |

You don't matter much anymore, but I'm glad you "made it" through 36 hours too. The concern for us dudes lessens over the years as we add a wife and kid(s)
Ellie is off to a great start with great parents. My wish for you is: may you have many more strong swimmers so that you catch up to the Morse clan.
**By the way, Heibs....I originally wasn't sure if I thought you were a 1/2 step out of line with that photo shop job, but I keep going back to it and laughing more each time. Classic. |

Seriously, I wish everybody in his family the best and a hearfelt congrats from me and all the guys on the IMTT board. |
