Some time ago there was a post on sturgeon fishing. Thought some of you might enjoy this thread about these monster fish on the Columbia R. in Oregon. The shad run has taken off in the last couple weeks and the sturgeon are eatin em up!! Couple pics of a monster sturgeon in the thread, check it out.

man I miss Oregon. The Columbia River is so beautiful, and those sea run steelies fight like possessed banshees, but no esox, so I'm back in the midwest to stay.

I haven't fished for them lately....too much water right now, lots of melting snow. I like October and November for sturgeon.

Hey Stalker, actually there are a fair number of tigers in various lakes throughout Washington. Merwin lake just outside of Woodland has some monsters. Several lakes around Moses Lake and near Spokane also have them.

Members of the Fargo-Moorhead Chapter of Muskies Inc. have been going on a yearly trip to the Rainy River to fish Sturgeon. Fish over 90lbs have been caught the past two years, and this year they averaged close to 50 inches each. I think I'll go with next year, as I have yet to haul in a 30lb fish of any species.
