Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | As a general rule in the North, Memorial Weekend is the Opener and the fish will be either late spring or early summer pattern. Some years water temps are in the 50's, some years in the 70's. No matter what, the muskies will be done spawning. They don't use 'beds' like a sunfish, they broadcast the roe over a larger area.
I found fish on the weedlines, in the weeds, and on the rocks last weekend, so early summer patterns are the rule in the Rhinelander area. |
