Thank God, musky season is here! The WI River system is in full-swing with water temps in the 70's and the weedbeds full. We moved fish on a variety of lures, with tackle from Dunwright (Dancer), Ducktail Lures (Weed Warrior series, Sputter Duck) and Suick (unweighted Suick) being the top producers throughout the holiday weekend. We didn't boat any monsters, but did land a few fish in the mid to upper 30" range and moved several including a heavy mid-forty inch class fish that followed just about everything we threw at her but just wouldn't eat. We'll see what tonight brings...

Tight lines,

The continued warm weather has helped to keep musky fishing pretty consistent, and that means consistently good! There are plenty of fish still up shallow; in addition, fish are showing up at some of their deeper summer haunts as well. A variety of baits are producing for us right now, with fish taking everything from surface baits to twitched deep-diving crankbaits, depending on the water. The usual brighter colored lures are still working best, especially with the run-off we've had from rain over the past bit.

Tight lines,
