I've been working with BJ @ Panther Marine aka Marinetech now about the increasing weight of the 200 block 4 strokes. Is Tuffy doing anything to bolster their transoms to account for the weight? I've been hearing of guy ripping the transoms off Ranger on the RCL with these big motors.

| Yes. We added another set of Knee boards, and a T that connects the splashwell laminate to the transom. The transom is a one piece, chine to chine, top to bottom, several inches thick. We also glass the liner side tanks, which are composite, to the transom as well.
The result is a very strong transom capable of carrying the new Opti Max, Ficht, and 4 stroke 225 models and a 4 stroke kicker with ease.[:bigsmile:] | |
