like bucktails and spinnerbaits? I don't see many fish with deer hair or marabou feathers hanging off their asses, but these are the #1 musky fishing baits. As for jerkbaits, suicks are absolutely deadly and is basically just a stick. IMO, gliders that look real (musky snax for example) really don't provide an edge, I think it's all about the action and the thrill of fishing with a $100 lure.

I'm not offended I'm just saying I don't think it matters if it looks realistic or not under normal conditions at least. Maybe using more realistic baits would have a better effect under cold fronts or something but I don't know.

But with some baits the action that does not look realistic is more of what I am tring to say I love gliders, suicks and topwater but a bait with no distinct action is I would not use bucktails pulsate and flash while for jerk and topwater it can't be just all over the place

what are you implying? sticks? there are so many baits out there with crazy action, that look nothing like a fish, but, if you don't throw them, well, youre missing out.
Go buy yourself some salmos. cause the muskies care about paint and fins.

lmao thats funny I think he's just trying to ruffle feathers, thats usually the case when you just have a log in name for a day. What bait isn't a stick, some sticks wobble, some hop, some go side to side but really they are all sticks lol

This has to be the one of the most realistic baits on the market.

I meen that it should do what you want the bait to do if you want the bait to glide it should glide not just do any random thing

I wish you would explain how your using the Slow Tease?
Most everyone think it's just like a Suick and it is by far nothing like it. If you need some pointer on the best way to use the Slow Tease, please feel free to ask and we will gladly help you out.

Check out that Suzy Sucker (http://www.shackattacklures.com), just got some a few weeks ago and they are amazing.

Maybe you haven't had a close look at both baits. They're nothing alike.

I don't work for or benefit from either manufacturer.

It's pretty hard not to be a "copycat" on about any lure concept. If "copies" weren't allowed we would have about 10 baits to choose from all of which were invented a 100 years ago. The infamous Weagle, all glide baits, topwaters, rubber baits, etc., are copies of concepts that have been around forever.

Yes MI did come out with a sucker bait but there have been realistic sucker baits on the market including many that are rubber for 75 years. They changed the shape and color a bit and had a "new bait", good for them! It's a great thing for us anglers....new toys!

The Suzy Sucker actually LOOKS like a sucker, not a generic fish shaped lure with a curly tail like MI. I have used both, and each will catch fish, but I prefer the Suzy Suckers action and versatility.

Just found this on Ebay....seemed appropriate for the discussion here. No idea how old this sucker pattern is but it's been around awhile and other than the tail is very similar to many of the popular patterns of today.
