Location: Madison, WI | Any one familar with Potter's flowage in the Warren's WI area? I've mostly fished bass in the area, looking for some helpful hints to throw a couple muskies in the boat this weekend. Any little tid bits would help out.
Thanks,

Location: Sherry, WI | Dark, dark water. Lots of wood in the north and northeast sections, sandflats, extreme depth changes throughout these areas. The south arm is more boating friendly. The best boat landing is on the NE arm. There is an unimproved landing on the west side of the south arm.
Bring a lure retriever if you plan on fishing subsurface. I've done better bass fishing and accepting the occasional musky than I have targeting muskies. |

Location: Marshfield, WI | Hi,
I was there on the day after the opener. I never caught a musky there but have learned a few things. White is a good color and they like panfish. Talked to the DNR that day and they said people in a canoe were panfishing and had a 3 foot fish hit the panfish they were bringing in. They didn't know if it was a pike or musky though. We fished a lot of wood that day and didn't mobing anything from the wood. The two fish we did see(not sure what they were, but one swirled behind a creeper and the other flashed and hit a bucktail) came from weeds. There were hardly any weeds when I was there but there should be a bunch now.

Location: Eau Claire, WI | One of our guys at work lives down there. Said many years ago it had a fishable musky population, but today there aren't many left, more of "hey, I caught a musky"...type water than, "let's go musky fishing there". |
