| well, after a couple rough days on the Pete covering the PMTT, i just couldn't stay off the water in these miserable conditions. the good thing was this time i actually got to compete.
my partner Kurt and i fished the WMT Waubesa today...cold, windy, rainy, no fish biting, you know the story of the way things have been this weekend.
7 fish caught by 6 teams in a field of 55 boats. patterns were patternless: deep, shallow, wherever.
we managed to score a 36" early in the morning on a bulldawg off a steep windblown breakline where the baitfish were piled up. good enough for 6th place, one spot out of the money behind frequent M1st guest Justin Gaiche and his partner.
congrats to the first place team of Etzel and Parise for working one spot basically ALL day long and doubling up with a jerkbait pattern in extremely skinny water near current.
first place took home $8,000, paid down to 5th getting their entry fee back.
oh, for the love of 1 1/2" !!!
