At night is fine, use your electric unless you have a kicker that will crawl you along. Creepers, da rat, hawg wobbler, slow movers are great for this.

For baits to use I'll add stalkers,tail propbaits and sledges.

Yep...this works. Learned this a strange way...was running the line out on a couple of my reels, one had a creepenstein, the other had a pacemaker and I put the put in forward, got the line run out and let it drag until I got out to a more remote area on a lake where I wouldn't bother any other boats. Half way out there and a fish exploded on the creepenstein. Hmmm....I say. Focused a little more on refining this tactic and now on my way in from fishing or if I can take my time getting out to a spot on lakes where trolling is legal I'll always chug along with a few lines out and one of them is always a surface bait.

At our last MI meeting the guide said to put weights on your line a foot or two infront on the bait. I haven't got out to try it but I will next week.
