Subject: Okauchee - Tomorrow

Hey guys, I am kicking around and most likely will be TRYING to get out on Okauchee tomorrow morning. I have heard the horror stories about getting on the water there on opener. What is a realistic time I would have to be there to put in?

I heard 2:30AM it will be filled up...is this true? If so, it might be next weekend for me.

Thanks in advance.

John,
If you're going to the public launch, you would want to get there by around 4:30 usually on the opener. If you're launching at the Golden Mast, I don't think it matters what time you get there. Also, as boat come off the water in the afternoon, spots usually open up at the public launch.

Works well for me if there's no room in public parking..

Golden mast raised thier price for launching. ..Now they just want to bend you over it can't get in the public launch.

Weekdays: $10.00
Weekends: $15.00

Just insane pricing!!

15 bucks now ey? well split it in 2 so it's 7.50...I'd call that very smart pricing for them...they have the supply and there is the demand...they could charge 20 on the weekend and get away with it....

I'd rather pay 7.50 to launch at a good launch, nice parking than getting my butt up at 3:30 a.m just to get a stupid spot at the public launch any day...I like sleep.

I might even get a little crazy and pay the whole $15 bucks by myself and gas.

It is just 15 dollars...life will go on.

I thought it was a lot more pricey at the Mast for some reason. Thats not too bad.

Okauchee launch was filled at 3:50 a.m.
It was worth getting up early - they were snapping early.
37" and 42" before the sun came up.
