| I started using these big 10" soft plastics last year and like them a lot, well enough to keep using them. I was able to get some good action with them on the surface down to a few feet or so. Are there weights that can be used to insert into these so they sink a little when there is a need for a little deeper presentation? I thought sluggo made weight inserts for the smaller bass size but can't find them, thx. |

| When wanting for deeper penetration with plastics… Try nails |

|
| Greg, try cutting up some nails and pushing them into the bait?
Just a thought,

| How about the JB weights. You should be able to screw em right on. May not last past the first cast but what the hell, I'm always good for a smarta$$ answer.

| When using nails one should consider the impact on the enviroment....might I suggest using "galvanized nails"...Hi...I'm Marlin Perkins + this episode is brought to you by Mutual of Omaha.....[;)] [:sun:] |

| You could use two short roofing nails in the sides of the head for eyes too. Mabe some brads and finishing nails for a precise weight control... |

| Greg,
Wont nails stiffen the bait and change the action.
How about trying diferent size split shots in front of the plastic, it wont take much weight to drop it down a little, this way the bait is untouched and still has "ALL" it's action!
Just a thought![8)]
Can't hurt to try! |
