| that looks cool. has anyone done/gotten a request for a color change bait? that's something i've never seen.
think '96 & '04 Mystic SVT Cobras...
i bet it would cost way too much to be more than a one off though. |

| The color changing bait may not be as hard as it sounds. I believe it has something to do with mixing a little bit of color in the clear coat, but I could be wrong. |

the actual color shift paints are pretty expensive. if i remember right one of the color shift gold colors runs around $2000 a gallon! referred to as the "most expensive paint on earth" |

| Color changing paints are not mixed in the clear.
You can buy paints that shift color depending on how the light hits them.
The ones that I use are $20-$40/ounce, and are sprayed over the lure after it is painted and dried. Then you add the color shifting paint to the areas where you want it. But each color shifting color gives you a different effect depending on what color you put it over. |

With my background in the Army, and my father dressing up as Uncle Sam in parades, My Pop-in-law being a Vet of Korea, and my nephew being born on "The 4th of July" I painted up a few of my old "Lollleita's" in an American flag pattern as gifts. I cannot find the pics on the hard drive. If i find one on a disc, i will post. |

| Thanks for the education on the color shifting, I was just going on something I heard years back from a friend who worked at a body shop. I guess that's why I only buy lures and leave the building and painting to the experts. BTW, sweet pattern Stan. |
