I bought a new calcutta 400b this winter and just got a chance to try it out today. Talk about smooth, its a heak of a nice reel. I would like to buy another, but my wife might shoot me if I spend another 200 on a reel. Has anyone used the Okuma Enduron and do you like it? How does it stack up to the Calcutta? Does anyone know of any other brands with that same style and the one piece frame?

I used to be an abu guy, and then switched to try 2 calcuttas. They both broke and I returned them for abu's. In the past 4 years abu have seemed to go down hill, so 3 years ago I got a great ebay deal on the enduron. It is the smoothest reel I have used and it holds up to saltwater. I now have 4 endurons and with three years of use not a problem yet.

I have 7 abus various c modles
I have 4 Okuma endurons
I also have 2 Okuma Magna line counter trollers that I like alot.

The bottom line is that Okuma is a great unknown reel for musky fishing that holds up well.

I would suggest the Tica Caimen CM 200s.

12 ball bearing, and super strong reels.

You can find more about these reels at: http://www.ticaglobal.com

Thanks,
