Mike,

I picked up a Frabill lure retriever from the Milwaukee Musky Show. It is the best lure retriever I have ever seen. It is telescopic. Collapses down to 81" (6'9"). The handle is 1-1/4" in diameter with a nice grip on the end. The entire pole shaft is knurled to give you a good grip no matter where you grab it. It extends out to 18' and is solid. This thing is a brute!

Check it out at http://www.frabill.com under fishing accessories.

Frabill makes a good lure retriever.
We pick one up last year before the PMTT
and it payed for it self in the first few hours.
It's a MUST have item before you go!

I use the Frabill also, even works for getting a Jake snagged on the bottom when trolling. Saves the bottom of the boat when trying to get a bucktail off the rocks.

They work!

I swapped with JerryB (or JeffB,can't remember) at the chicago swap meet. It's a homemade weight that slides down your line attached to a large amount of line wrapped around a marker buoy. It looks like a great idea, I'm sure I will get to use it on the Cave. Never owned a lure retreiver before so can't compare to Frabill's, but this unit is very compact and will retrieve deeper than 18'.
