Location: Lino Lakes, MN | Just wanted to give a big congrats to Joel on sticking his PB this afternoon. Great to get that phone call from a friend when you can just picture everything by the way he is describing it...I could almost hear his legs knocking together. Ill let him post the pics when he gets a chance, but word has it that she was 49.5"x23". You deserved it bud....that fish will keep ya smilin for at least another couple of weeks. I guess you were right about that hat having the mojo.

Location: Racine, Wi | Man, that was one fun day on the water. I finally got Lambeau out in the boat, and if that's the mojo he brings, he can come anytime. I saw this chick last week and new she was a good fish, but then the storms came through Thursday and Friday. I worked that spot hard Saturday with the Dude, and we raised a couple up to 40"s. Then Sunday Lambeau and I were at it all day long with a dink follow and that's it. We hit the big girl one last time, and she ate it on the 8!!!! Very cool indeed!!!!! Thank God I had someone in the boat that knew how to net. Lambeau nailed her with profection. Thanks again Lambeau!!!! I thought she might make the magic mark, but noooot quite. Oh well, something to shoot for in May.
Still Smiling!!!!

| what a blast. great day on the water.
joel worked hard for that fish over mulitple trips, well-earned!
imho, the best part is that he got that fish to go by doing one of the smoothest figure-8's i've seen.
he said, "there's a fish" and by the time i looked over he had the whole rod buried and was running through a very wide turn. "it's a big one." in the second turn she ate, he sets the hook back against the grain, and i see a giant white bucket thrashing back and forth before she turned and ran deep. when she was finally in the net after a couple of strong runs we had to cut a hook out that was perfectly placed in the corner of her mouth. |

And Joe, I haven't worked much this week. |
