How does one tune a topwater tail prob bait? Just mess around with the tail a bit to get ther right sound or something else? Thanks.

If you want morre of the popping noise then give it more of a curve. If you want it to rotate faster without the popping noise open up the gap.

Ty has it right. You can go too far trying to get more pop and the bait will not spin right. Find that point and the bait will give the most sound.

there's a couple articles by Lee Tauchen in recent Esox Angler magazines that talk about it in depth, including pictures to show what to do, etc. for all different kinds of topwaters including tail props.

Exactly Mike, those are great topwater tuning articles by Lee that are really helpful for most types of lures
