Any suggestion on favorite spring lures... I have 75$ to burn at smokey's and thought i bulk up my spring collection. What would you buy? I know my first bait is going to be a lee lure h2o, but that leaves me with some fun money!! I'll probably be fishing the madison chain through most of the spring.

Mepps #5 Maribous in black and silver, or whatever color combo fits the water conditions you fish...and also the bigger maribous in case that is what they want as well

I would get a perch Undertaker for your glide bait and a Slammer Golden Shiner in 5 or 6-inch for a twitch bait. That will get your first two rods ready for the opener. Add 1 sucker rod with a 10 to 12-inch sucker and your set for the Southern opener. Works for me........

I would get a zam from zaltlures, click on the link below. Another great bait is a bomber long a. I tend to like twitch baits that are less erratic in early spring.

My favorites are a clown colored husky jerk and a 3/4 oz. black buzzbait. Try a bass sized buzzbait this spring and you will be amazed.

I'd go for a Cobb's Crazy Shad or two, a couple of Big Game Twitchbaits, and a Bitten Tackle Warlock.

We get many fish this time of year by pitching jigs at muskies that just followed conventional lures. Here is a clip of Chris Pulling one in.
